Environmental Catalysts and Technologies, Royston, Hertfordshire

Johnson Matthey is the leading supplier of catalytic converters for both gasoline and diesel applications. Our European Technology Centre in Royston, near Cambridge, develops emissions control technologies that are applied across Europe, the United States and Asia. Development of successful products and increasing demands for our technology has created new opportunities for mechanical and automotive engineers.

We are looking for both full-time and industrial placement students. You will work as a member of a small team on either engine, vehicle or motorcycle applications. Engine control unit interfacing, data acquisition and processing, hardware design and modification, emissions measurement, equipment programming and results interpretation are likely to be key roles. We are looking for enthusiastic and versatile engineers who can rise to hands-on technical problem solving challenges. Excellent communication and interpretation skills are also required.

Ideally you should be a mechanical or automotive engineering graduate (or student). Evidence of practical abilities is important, as are relevant computer skills.
