Chris Clark joined
Johnson Matthey in 1962 and has had wide experience
of the Company's business, having held marketing
and general management positions in both Europe and
North America. He was appointed Product Manager,
Johnson Matthey Metals, in 1969 and Product Group
Manager in 1975. From 1979 to 1984 he was Marketing
Manager of Johnson Matthey's Metal Products Division
in the USA, returning to the UK in 1984 as General
Manager of the Company's noble metals fabrication
business.
He headed the group's
Platinum Marketing operations from 1987 until assuming
responsibility for the Catalytic Systems Division
in 1988 and, additionally, Colour and Print Division
in 1990. He was appointed an Executive Director in
March 1990 and in October 1991 became responsible
for Materials Technology Division.
Chris is aged 54
and was educated at Marlborough College. He is a
non-executive director of Trinity Holdings plc and
a member of the Institute of Metals (MIM). He is
married and has three children. His leisure interests
include opera, golf, rugby and cricket.
