Yesterday
it was announced that ICI India Limited's shareholders
had approved the sale of those Synetix businesses owned
by ICI India Limited to Johnson Matthey.
It
is therefore expected that the acquisition of the Synetix
businesses in India by Johnson Matthey will complete
on 2nd December 2002. This will be the final stage of
the transaction that was first announced on 23rd September
2002.
